Fund For Animal Cruelty Treatment of Suffolk, Inc.

We are a 501c3 dedicated to fundraising for costs of care for animal cruelty victims prosecuted by the Suffolk County New York District Attorney for cases arising from investigations by the Suffolk County Police Department, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department or investigators in the District Attorney’s office.

Animal cruelty is a gateway crime that affects all members of the community. After 35 years of research, these crimes have gained national attention because they are an indicator and predictor of crimes against humans as a “link” to domestic violence. In 2016 the FBI began tracking animal cruelty as a separate category of offenses. When animal cruelty crimes are effectively prosecuted members of the community including children, domestic violence victims, women, the elderly and animals are spared from abuse
